B&B Lumber Company

B&B Lumber Company is a third-generation, family-owned and operated business founded in 1973. With our sawmill, hardwood flooring plant, and one of the largest pallet manufacturing companies in the Northeast, we control the process from forest to finished product. Every tree we harvest is used efficiently, with absolute minimal waste. Sawdust is sold to local farmers, excess material is chipped to create wood chips that heat our facilities, and bark is repurposed and sold. This commitment to full utilization reflects our dedication to sustainability, quality, and supporting our local community.

Our Foresters

At B&B Lumber Forestry & Logging, we believe every successful timber harvest starts with experience. Our two full-time foresters, David and Noah, work closely with landowners to understand their goals and develop management plans that improve the long-term health and value of their woodlands.

David, our lead forester, has managed our logging crews and timber harvest operations for nearly a decade. Raised in the family business, he learned the trade from his father, a current owner, and his grandfather, who co-founded the company in 1973. His hands-on experience and deep understanding of the Business help ensure every harvest is completed professionally and responsibly.

Joining David is his cousin, Noah, who has spent the past two years purchasing timber and helping procure logs for our mills. Together, David and Noah bring knowledge, professionalism, and a genuine passion for the woods and working with landowners. Whether your goal is improving wildlife habitat, increasing timber value, or responsibly managing your forest for future generations, they’re committed to helping you make the most of your property

Our Process

Initial Site Review

Every project begins with a personal visit to your property. After you contact us, we’ll schedule a time to walk your woods, evaluate the terrain, identify the tree species present, and determine whether the property is suitable for a timber harvest. Just as importantly, we’ll take the time to discuss your goals and objectives so we can develop a management plan that best fits your property and your vision for the future.

Timber Evaluation, pricing & Contract

Once we’ve completed the initial inspection, we’ll carefully evaluate your timber by marking individual trees for harvest and recording their species, quantity, and board footage. Using this information, we determine the value of your timber and provide you with a competitive offer. If you choose to move forward, we’ll prepare a detailed timber sale contract outlining the harvest plan and payment terms. Every landowner receives a check for the full agreed-upon price after the contracts are signed, giving them confidence and peace of mind throughout the process.

Harvesting and Final Cleanup

After the contract is signed and payment has been made, we’ll schedule your harvest and begin operations with our experienced crews. When the harvest is complete, we return to perform a thorough final cleanup, smoothing skid roads, and landing areas with bulldozers or excavators. Our goal is to leave your property clean, well cared for, and positioned for healthy forest growth for the future.
